Today's "typical client family" is emotionally troubled due to parent/child conflict, separation/divorce, school behavior problems, dependency, trauma, neglect or abuse. Helping families work through problems together, and understand each other better, gives each member a chance for a happier, more successful life.

Our hope is to strengthen family bonds.

Admission and Referral

A family member or helping professional may contact any outreach center listed below for program information and assistance in applying for service. Children and families are often referred by helping professionals, managed care providers, insurance companies, private individuals, state agencies, and sometimes by juvenile courts.

Accreditations, Memberships & Licensing

  • Programs of Presbyterian Children's Services are accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children. Membership is held in the following national and state organizations: Child Welfare League of America; Missouri Child Care Association (founding member), Interfaith Partnership, and Missouri Association for Social Welfare. Presbyterian Children's Services, Inc. is a private non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Missouri and licensed by the Missouri Department of Social Services Division of Family Services and by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Presbyterian Children's Services is a member of the Missouri Alliance for Children and Families provider network; and helps children in a covenant relationship with Synod of Mid-America, Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.)
